“Excellence is never an accident; it is always the result of high intention, sincere effort, intelligent direction, skillful execution and the vision to see obstacles as opportunities." - Author Unknown

This is Lynne blocking Eric. In the end he still got the ball.

Hello!

This year seems to be slipping away quickly. It is swim suit weather already. I have been working out and looking at my suit for the last two months. I think I will be pleasantly surprised, I’ve really been trying and hope it all pays off.

Did you have a good Easter? I played football with my two sons. That’s monkey in the middle to them but football to me. They definitely keep me young. We had a good time, even if they have to play by Mom’s rules. No stealing the football, no tackling Mom, and Mom is never in the middle! I think I will be sorry for starting this, they want to know when we can play again! After playing football, my sons, one twenty one and the other fourteen, went in the house and hunted for their Easter baskets, which they wanted me to hide. Some things never change and I love it!

Take Care,
Lynne

Since 1983, May has been observed as National Physical Fitness and Sports Month. Individuals and organizations everywhere have joined in the fun to promote awareness of the value of physical activity in the pursuit of happier, healthier, more productive lives. To further this vital mission, the President's Council on Physical Fitness and Sports reached out in 1994 to both public and private organizations to form the Presidential Fitness Partners in May. By working together in this partnership, our individual health and fitness messages will achieve increased public resonance.

Let's move Americans to move themselves in a healthier way this month (and throughout the year). For some tips for reaching out during National Physical Fitness and Sports Month, click here!

The President's Challenge is a program that encourages all Americans to make being active part of their everyday lives. Time flies when you are having fun! That is the best way to describe my time here at Curves. A half-hour never wet so fast, but during that time I gain much more. I get rejuvenated, and gain energy to face the rest of the day. I actually go on bike rides with my kids now. The only thing better than a Curves workout, is the wonderful staff at Muncy Curves. Thank you for all your help and encouragement.

Gloria was Muncy’s star of the month for March; she has lost 12 pounds, 13 ½ inches and 10 ¼ pounds of body fat.  Gloria joined Muncy Curves in February with her friend Donna Flick, who has lost 8 pounds and 16 ½ inches...you go girls!

Differences between the sexes exist and whether a person is male or female matters in the prevalence and severity of a broad range of diseases, disorders, and conditions. It matters at every stage of life - from the very beginning to the very end. It matters at every level - from the single cell to the entire body. It matters to the health of everyone.

I started coming to Curves when I found out that my workplace would pay for the initial fee. It sounded like something fun to do and I really needed to start exercising. I had become quite the couch potato and had let myself go. I had done some diets but always gained back the weight plus more.

My first month I lost 6.2 pounds and 10.5 inches, I was very excited to continue. My second month I lost 4.8 pounds and 5.5 inches more. It has a great atmosphere with so many women of all shapes and size, which makes me feel less intimidated than other

gyms. It’s also great when you have a friend to go with. I am very happy with the machines hey have. You don’t have to work out for more than 30 minutes for it to be effective, I find that I can fit it into my busy schedule and make time for it.

I not only exercised, but gave up drinking so much soda pop and started drinking water, which of course is better for me. I stopped eating potato chips (my favorite snack food) and cookies, candy, cakes and pies. I started eating more fruits and vegetables instead, that has also helped me. I want tot hank everyone at Curves for motivating me and helping me to become a better me!
